CONDITIONS AND GUIDELINES

The Cyprus Economic Society hosts articles in its Blog which are written by our affiliated columnists who are listed separately. The scope of the Blog is quite broad and may include economic and European affairs, institutional issues, issues of political economy, the financial, banking and business environments, climate change, non-partisan political issues, social and cultural issues. More scientific themes such as medical for example, will also be covered when related with a broader social or political issue. These columns will be about 500 to 1200 words. They will be driven by analysis and insight with a view to inform public debate and where applicable relate to policy issues and their solutions.

These articles will be posted on the Society’s website and will be automatically subject to the rules and conditions described here below.

  1. Articles will be written either in Greek or in English
  2. Articles will be between 600 and 1500 words
  3. The CES will be able to circulate notifications to members and registered visitors, for the publication of an article with a link to download
  4. Media partners will have the option to publish the article simultaneously with its posting on the CES website with due attribution to both author(s) and the CES, and subject to the conditions of the partnership agreement
  5. CES will have the option to translate an article from English to Greek and vice versa, at its own expense, if it serves the purposes of the CES as expressed in its mission
  6. A translated article once approved by its author will be treated as newly submitted and will come under conditions 3) and 4) above.

All copyright, trademarks, and all other intellectual property rights deriving from these articles are owned by CES. No information contained therein may be reproduced, transmitted, displayed, distributed, published, or otherwise used for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of the CES. Their authors will be free to republish them as they see fit, citing the initial publication on the CES website, with the passage of 30 calendar days from the date of publication by the CES.

All media partnership agreements that provide for the publication of our blog posts for purposes of dissemination, do not involve any financial exchange.
